Blackmagic Design Fairlight Live Audio Panel 40

Essential Add-On's we recommend

Description

The Blackmagic Design Fairlight Live Audio Panel 40 gives you hands-on control of 40 motorized faders and four large touchscreen displays, putting every channel, bus, matrix, aux, VCA, sub-master and talkback control exactly where you need it during live production. Designed for broadcast studios, large-scale live events and professional audio post facilities, this desktop panel integrates directly with Fairlight Live software, replacing endless mouse clicks with tactile, responsive mixing.

Tactile Control Built for Live Production

The panel provides motorized faders that respond in real time to your mix adjustments, giving you physical feedback that accelerates decision-making during complex live shows. Four integrated touchscreens display channel strip information, EQ curves, dynamics processing and plugin interfaces across every group of 10 faders, keeping critical mix data visible without switching views or opening multiple windows.

Customizable Keyboard Shortcuts

Fairlight Live supports extensive keyboard customization, letting you trigger cue player control, routing changes, system setups, audio follows video, generators, talkback mic patching, snapshots and view management instantly. In fast-paced broadcasts, you can fire a snapshot, adjust routing and launch a cue using keyboard shortcuts, keeping the show responsive from start to finish without stopping to navigate menus.

Remote Control for Multiple Operators

The system supports primary and backup engines plus two simultaneous remote control machines, allowing you to hand off sections of the mix to remote operators who update assigned channels or parameters in real time. Sync status indicators and dedicated talkback keep coordination tight. This workflow suits live sports events, sermons or talk shows where one operator manages the main program while another handles audience microphones or in-ear monitors from a different location.

Third-Party Hardware Integration

Fairlight Live works with Mackie MCU controllers and OSC-based tablet apps, expanding mixing control beyond the panel itself. You can adjust faders, pan, mute, selection, PFL, AFL and metering, along with solo clear, undo/redo, banking and control room volume. OSC enables aux send control for monitor mixes, remote front of house operation, talkback control, GPI triggers and audio follows video. In live shows, this means you can mix on a hardware controller while a producer uses a tablet for talkback and musicians adjust their own monitor mixes.
