The SureColor S8160 features Epson’s latest 2.64-inch PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead, designed for exceptional reliability and long-term performance. It ensures minimal downtime, while advanced technologies – including an integrated temperature sensor, nozzle verification, and nozzle replacement system – work together to deliver consistent image quality and precise colour accuracy – job to job, panel to panel, even during long print runs.
It also features a 6-colour UltraChrome GS3 ink set, including light cyan and light magenta, delivering smooth gradations, vibrant colours and sharp detail on a variety of media types, including vinyl, canvas, film, wallpaper and other roll media up to 1625 mm width.

The printer also allows for flexible ink configuration, enabling the installation of either 800 ml or 1,500 ml of any colour to optimise workflow efficiency while minimising plastic waste. UltraChrome GS3 ink is GREENGUARD Gold certified, ensuring low chemical emissions and suitability for indoor environments.

- To enable the user-replacement feature, the printer must be registered and remain connected to Epson Cloud Solution PORT, and covered under an active CoverPlus plan. Additionally, the operator is required to complete the necessary training.
- The printer and any associated options purchased with it are supplied with a 1-year onsite warranty that covers parts and labour including the printhead. The printer may be ordered with additional CoverPlus for a total maximum cover of up to 5 years. Provision of service and support is conditional on a range of factors including activation of Epson Cloud Solution PORT, use of correct and genuine consumables, and appropriate use and maintenance of equipment.
