Fast, efficient and reliable production
The SC-S7160 incorporates advanced technologies to enhance both user experience and print quality. These include Epson's 1.33-inch-wide PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, which enables faster printing1 and wider print width in a single pass, increasing the number of nozzles from 360 to 400.
The SC-S7160 features a carriage temperature sensor that quickly detects and compensates for temperature differences, helping minimise colour variations during long print runs. This ensures colour consistency from start to finish by adjusting for temperature shifts in ink and nozzle surface caused by the platen heater.
Superior quality & precision
The SureColor S7160 utilises a 4-colour UltraChrome GS3 800 ml ink pouch system, enabling durable, vibrant and accurate prints on a variety of media types, including vinyl, canvas, film, wallpaper, and other roll media up to 1,625 mm wide.
The transition from 700 ml cartridges to 800 ml ink bags reduces the frequency of ink replacement, while being up to 84% lighter and generating up to 91% less waste per bag, aligning with Epson's sustainability goals. UltraChrome GS3 ink is GREENGUARD Gold certified, ensuring low chemical emissions and suitability for indoor environments.
Built on a market-proven platform, the printer includes robust chassis with an advanced auto tension control system and a reinforced media feed roller for high-precision media feeding. These enhancements deliver more consistent output, simplify offline processing, and make the printer suitable for tiling and other precision applications.
Streamlined operation & maintenance
The SC-S7160 includes an internal air circulation system with filters that capture ink mist. The printhead guard helps prevent media crashes while a new automatic head cleaning system ensures reliable performance with minimal intervention.
Its 4.3-inch touchscreen interface allow easy access to system settings and ink level monitoring. Built-in LED lighting improves visibility during operation, helping users monitor print status at a glance.
