Description
Aputure intended to create their brightest-ever full-spectrum point-source light—and the STORM CS32 Tunable Colour LED Monolight is the result. With a high output that rivals 4K HMIs, the STORM CS32 delivers 106,000 lux at 3m (with a medium reflector and 5600K) or a bare 15,000 lux at the same distance and colour temperature. At its core lies the Aputure BLAIR-CG light engine, which enables highly saturated colors across the visible spectrum and exceptional tunable white light. The IP65 weather-resistant STORM CS32 is key for large-scale productions, filmmakers, and rental houses, while maintaining a compact 38.4 x 37.1 x 35.8 cm form factor for operation by a single person. The control box also remains compact at 37.6 x 34.5 x 16 cm. Offering reliable and adaptable performance, the STORM CS32 is a bright, tunable color light that can be powered from a household circuit.
Portable Yet Powerful
The ideal choice for demanding film, television, photography, and broadcast applications, the STORM CS32 delivers the brightness of a 4K HMI or 10K tungsten Fresnel in a significantly smaller, lighter, and more flexible form factor. Its compact cubic design and accessory options make it well-suited for array builds, studio setups, truss rigging, and demanding location work. BLAIR-CG Light Engine
- Aputure's advanced BLAIR-CG light engine combines blue, lime, amber, indigo, red, cyan, and green emitters.
- With indigo for natural fluorescence and extended red for richer skin tones, the STORM CS32 covers a wide range of rich colors and natural white light for proper skin tone rendering.
- Made with high output and light quality in mind, filmmakers and lighting technicians will appreciate its excellent saturated colors and tunable white light.

Impressive Color Quality
Set the CCT across its wide 1800 to 20,000K. The STORM CS32 also offers green adjustment and HSIC+ and x/y coordinate colour tuning for coverage of over 90% of the colours within the Rec. 2020 colour space. Industry-leading fidelity metrics and high colour-accuracy ratings ensure the STORM CS32's ability to faithfully reproduce colours. Noteworthy ratings are SSI (P3200) 93, SSI (CIE D5600) 91, CRI 97, TLCI 98, TM-30 Rf 96, and TM-30 Rg 100. It provides green adjustment by +/-G at 100% to conform to the full ASC MITC standard.
Professional Performance
The STORM CS32 allows you to compete with daylight, create sunsets, and improve any set. It provides deep crimson sunsets, rich sodium vapor night street scenes, as well as subtle colour effects to white light without gels. Find smooth 0.1-100% stepless dimming with four dimming curves: linear, exponential, logarithmic, and S-shaped, along with multiple built-in lighting effects. Beyond creative options, the fixture's compact cube-like head allows multiple lights to be rigged together to create powerful arrays in limited spaces, while a dust- and weather-resistant IP65 rating makes it suitable for high-end set work under any circumstance. The ideal light for cinematographers, gaffers, and lighting technicians who need a compact, high-performance point source fixture capable of delivering professional-grade results in any environment.
Total Control
Intuitive and advanced control methods include onboard, Sidus Link, Sidus Link Pro, DMX, CRMX, Art-Net/sACN, with 16-bit 5-pin DMX512 in/out ports and two locking Ethernet ports. Sidus NFC enables rapid patching and configuration even when unplugged. Both wireless Bluetooth and CRMX wireless range are up to 328'. In addition, the included control box's display allows the user to select what capacity circuit the fixture is plugged into: 110V/15A (1700W) or 110V/20A (2200W).
Selectable Household Power Operation
The STORM CS32 can run on a 110V or 220V household outlet. In 220V settings, the STORM CS32 can run at full power from a common 15A household circuit. For 110V territories, Aputure includes a bare lead cable for wiring to professional power systems, as well as an additional power cable with a household Edison connector. The included control box recognizes the cable and automatically reduces the maximum power draw of the light to protect the circuit from overload.
The CF16 Fresnel and other accessories are available separately.
Air Cooling & Aputure Mount
Various fan modes include max, high, medium, low, and silent. The STORM CS32 ensures flicker-free output for high-speed cinematography ranging from large-scale action work to tabletop product photography (at any camera frame rate with the light set at 5% brightness output or higher). In terms of optional accessories, the STORM CS32 works with the separately available CF16 Fresnel and skid, and it is also compatible with the optional Parallel Beam 70, STORM XT52 reflectors, and select softboxes. Its compact square lamp head and included removable yoke also make it suited for building powerful arrays in limited spaces.
This kit includes the light, yoke, control box, medium reflector, select cables, and listed items. Other accessories are available separately.
For Any Environment
- Speaking of weight, the lamp head weighs approximately 16.8 kg, while the control box will add another 10.8 kg to your lighting kit.
- The STORM CS32 can fit fully assembled onto your lighting truck shelving or on a lighting head cart.
- Extend the fixture's reach with an optional 45m long cable, which enables the light to be mounted high on a crane while the controls and power distribution remain accessible.
