Short Format Workshop Focused on Fine Art Printing

This workshop will expose you to a world of new possibilities and digital imaging practices and is run by experienced Kayell Australia staff who specialise on Fine Art Printing and workflows  You'll be printing your own images with the latest Epson Pro Printers and inks, state-of-the-art printer profiles, and on the finest papers. Editing and soft proofing will be carried out on Eizo ColorEdge monitors and by the end of the session you'll leave with finished prints and be well on the way to mastering a fine art printing workflow that will significantly improve the quality of your images.

Each participant will share a Macintosh connected to a Eizo ColorEdge Monitor with a Epson Surecolor P800 A2 Desktop Printer. You will be supplied with a choice of five different A4 Canson inkjet paper to produce your own fine art prints, so ensure you bring a USB thumbdrive with several images ( 15-20) ready to print ( JPG, TIFF, PSD).

This workshop is not about image preparation, sharpening or how best to edit your images. It is a workshop focused on fine art inkjet printing and what papers may suit certain images and why. It is important you bring images that are ready to print, it is a great opportunity to print the same images on different paper types.

Here is what others have thought of the previous workshops we have run with Dr Les Walkling

I could rave on about how much I enjoyed the day in Brisbane but I will limit myself to one word - Inspirational.
Thank you for the organisation, the enthusiasm, patience, comments and explanations.
Most important of all for me was that I left with lots more questions to find answers to than I even knew were questions before I arrived.
Rob Wignell

I attended your fine art printing workshop in Sydney last Wednesday. Wonderful workshop i got a lot out of it. I found your passion for the arts and photography inspiring.
The one main thing I got out of the day was not only a better technical colour management understanding but a desire to explore my expression or creativity through photography on a greater level.
Chris Dark

Your passion for photography - the art and science of all aspects of the creation of images is infectious and your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Although my background is science, I must admit that I find it challenging to jump into the science of colour calibration and printing.  Thankfully your passion is our great relief.  You have done the very hard yards of study and experimentation and we are the grateful benefactors.
Thank you for giving so very much. I am somewhat giddy with information and so very grateful for your generous spirit.
