About the Event

In the current landscape of content creation and creative media, video is becoming ever more prominent across digital platforms.  MOTION is a FREE practical workshop demonstration aiming to break down the barriers to entry of video production for photographers and content creators. Across three hours you will be guided through the basics of filmmaking using DSLR and Mirrorless cameras. Kayell Australia in collaboration with Michael Hardinge (Momentum Studios) have developed a program that will thoroughly demonstrate the basics of filmmaking and video production form start to finish.  The theory component will be complemented with a live practical demonstration featuring Amaran lighting, still photography and video content creation. Building a foundation to develop further skills on, leaving you with the confidence to explore adding video packages when working with commercial clients.

The workshop will be run twice over the same day, there are limited seats per session, please book tickets below to avoid dissapointment.  Door prizes available across both sessions, with all attendees going into a draw to win a brand new Aputure Amaran 300C valued at $799.

About the Presenter

 

 

Michael Hardinge is an award-winning director, producer, and filmmaker from Melbourne, Australia. He is the Creative Director & Founder of Momentum Studios Australia, a production company that produces content for film, television, social media, and video-on-demand platforms.

Momentum Studios Australia, serves  a wide range of clients from various industries, including Fortune 500 companies, social enterprises, not-for-profit organizations, government departments, start-ups, and more.

With an ability to create impactful and thought-provoking content that encourages social change, Michael uses his passion for the medium of film and video to tell important stories and inspire positive action. Michael is best known for his work on "Retail Therapy: The Making of Rostered On," a behind the scenes special on how the comedy series ‘Rostered On’ was created. ‘Retail Therapy’ aired on the Seven Network in Australia and was also made available internationally on Netflix. He has also directed and produced several short films which have amassed millions views on YouTube.
