At Kayell Australia Pty Limited (ABN 13 087 954 149) ( Kayell ) we want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase. If you believe a product you purchased from Kayell is defective, then you may have a right of return and/or other remedies under either our manufacturers warranty or the Australian consumer guarantee as outlined below.

Consumer Guarantees

You have rights under applicable Australian consumer laws.

For goods supplied in Australia only: 

If a product or service you buy fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law. The remedy you're entitled to will depend on whether the issue is major or minor.

Kayell Australia's Manufacturer’s Warranty

In addition to your consumer rights, Kayell offers the following manufacturer’s warranty for products it distributes in Australia:

This warranty applies to products that are purchased in Australia from Kayell or their respective authorised dealers or retailers.

You will need proof of purchase to make a warranty claim so please keep your tax invoice.

With normal use and service, during the Warranty Period stated below, Kayell warrants the products will be free from defects arising wholly or substantially from faulty parts, manufacture and workmanship:

Conditions: 

Kayell’s manufacturer’s warranty does not cover:

  1. Replacing consumables including Alkaline batteries, Button llthium batteries, Modelling lights, Flash tubes, Fuses, Ink and Paper; ( Flash tubes if delivered faulty and found not be damaged by user error from day one will be covered but must be claimed imediatelly via our support ticket system )
  2. Any software included with the Products.
  3. Kayell’s manufacturer’s warranty does not apply where damage is caused by external factors including:
  4. Normal wear and tear like zippers & carry straps on carry & travel bags or softbox cases or alike.
  5. Damage caused outside Kayell’s control such as accidents, vandalism or burglary;
  6. Your negligent or improper use of the products including failing to follow operating instructions;
  7. Leaking batteries;
  8. Liquid exposure (except water for waterproof products) or infiltration of foreign particles;
  9. Repairs or modification of the products except by Kayell, or its authorised service agent;
  10. Using unsuitable ink or other materials in the products;
  11. Using any accessories, supplies, parts or devices (including batteries, fuses, modelling lights and flash attachments) not conforming to Kayell’s specifications; or
  12. Shipping or other means of transit.
  13. Subject to your rights under consumer law, Kayell excludes all liability in respect of the product for any loss that is not reasonably foreseeable from a failure of the product, which may include liability for negligence, loss of card, loss of images, loss of data, loss of expenditure associated with the product, losses incurred while the product is being repaired and loss of enjoyment.
  14. This warranty is not transferrable.

 

Making a Warranty Claim

The process for making a claim may differ for some products. Please see the claims processes below.

Epson Large Format Printers (only those purchased in Australia from Kayell)

You will be asked to provide a written description of the problem, images and other relevant information. Remember; please have your proof of purchase ready. The support team will try to trouble shoot the problem with you first.

If your problem cannot be rectified over the phone, Kayell will organise for Epson Australia to make contact so a repair agent can be booked. Please note some conditions apply, Click here to read about Epson’s warranty conditions.

 

All Other Products


To make a claim notify Kayell as soon as possible by completing a support ticket Click here

You may be asked to provide a written description of the problem, images or other relevant information. The support team may try to troubleshoot the problem with you first. Remember to have your proof of purchase ready. If we need to examine the product then, except as otherwise required by consumer law, you must pay for all packing,freight and insurance costs to ship the Product to Kayell or its authorised service agent. 

If Kayell accepts your warranty claim, we will, at our cost (and subject to your rights under consumer law) repair or replace any faulty parts or rectify any faulty workmanship, and return the product to you. If you have a major problem that can not be serviced in a reasonable time frame, a refund will be considered as an option.
If your warranty claim is not accepted, Kayell or its authorised service agent may still be able to resolve your problem, where that service is charged at our standard rates (only with your prior approval).
